While there are only a few "standard" layouts that most websites are built on, every business or organization is different, and everyone has different goals for their website.
Unless the site is about the latest bells and whistles available, or has a definite artistic purpose, simple, clean and very fast is what we recommend.
I will meet with you in person anywhere in Michigan. We will discuss in depth what your needs are and we will try to clearly define:
THE PURPOSE OF THE WEBSITE.
With that definition in hand, the rest will begin to fall in place. We will be able to estimate the size of the site and how many sections it will have. We will have an idea of what kind of information each section will contain and what kinds of images and other gadgets will help us communicate with the site visitor.
We will discuss the various elements that go into design. What colors to use, what fonts to use and how the site will layout on the screen. As the rough draft is constructed, the client gets involved in edits and changes until we achieve the look and feel desired.
This process can take just a few weeks for a simple project or, a complex site may be developed in phases over a much longer period of time.
After a first meeting, we produce an outline and action plan for the client so we know what each group is supposed to be doing. When the client has provided some content materials the rough draft site can go on line and we can develop quickly from there.
