Organization Site - The purpose of this type is to inform the site user about the mission and activities of the organization and, sometimes, to inform and promote the members of the organization. This kind of site is usually updated frequently, as often as once per week.
Business Site - The purpose of this type is to promote the business and communicate with customers. The site employs tools and technologies that are designed to increase sales.
E-Commerce Site - The primary purpose of this type is to generate online sales.
These are basic types. The point is to identify the purpose of the site. In the development process we often combine elements from all of these types.
