So now you have a website. Can anyone find it? Is it important that searchers find you or is that a feature that is unimportant?
From the search engine point of view there are just two kinds of sites. One kind is found on the first two pages of Google or whatever search engine or directory you are using. The other kind is listed on the other pages, 3 thru 1000+. If search results are important for your business, you had better be on one of the first two pages.
Do any search and you will find 100,000+ listings. One site is #1, another is #19, another #342, another #1628 and so on, and there is a reason why everyone of them is where it is.

The return on investment you get from being at the top of the search engines is greater than almost anything else you will do.
